Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuo Ohtagaki. The manga takes place in the Universal Century timeline during the events of ''Mobile Suit Gundam''. An Original net animation adaptation by Sunrise is currently in development, with the release of the first episode on December 25, 2015 via EST (Electronic Sell Through) service.〔http://www.gundam.info/topic/14364〕
==Plot==
The series takes place concurrently with ''Mobile Suit Gundam'', during the One Year War. In UC 0079, the Federation and Zeon troops engage in a fierce battle in the "Thunderbolt Sector", a shoal zone littered with debris from destroyed space colonies, named for the frequent electrical discharges. The story focuses on Federation soldier Io Flemming as he battles Zeon's best sniper, Daryl Lorenz.
